Meet the Teacher

This is me a couple of years ago surrounded by keyboards, music, and people. I was Director and Music Director for the Wayne Senior Follies show. I've been doing the show for more than 14 years. I included this photo because it reminds me of the many shows I've been involved in over the years. I started participating in musical productions when I was 12.

I live in the same house that I grew up in. My family and I live in Wayne, NJ. I graduated from Wayne Valley High School and Denison University in Ohio. I got my teaching certificate from the University of Michigan. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Integrating Technology in the Classroom.

I met my husband at Denison. He was the star tenor and he used to sing in all kinds of concerts and productions with orchestras and bands alike. We have lived a number of places including Virginia, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and New Jersey. The most interesting place we lived was Naples, Italy. We got married in Naples, Italy.

This is a picture of my husband, Paul, singing at one of our "gigs". He has his Master's Degree in Voice from the University of Michigan. He and I own an audio and video production company in Wayne called Rave Review Productions. Paul has been doing the sound for the West Milford High School productions for 7 years.

This is one of my favorite pictures of my son, Paul Christian, when he was little. We got him a special place mat and matching plate that came with this kooky mask. The picture looks really weird because his eyes came out red, too. He was a cute little kid. He was the king of his preschool prom!!

Here he is now, the serious, sometimes scary-looking, teenager. He’s very smart, and he types 110 words a minute. He loves to be DEEP and CONTROVERSIAL, but he’s basically just a nice kid at heart. He’s into photography now, so that’s why the artistic black and white picture. Ask him about the 26 digit story. You won’t believe it!

And here’s the last but not least member of the Sivertsen crew. This is our freshly groomed dog, Jake. He’s a cocker spaniel who we rescued in 1994 from an abusive situation. We had the help of a friend who does animal rescue work. He’s getting old and a little ornery, but we love him.

Feel free to contact me anytime at my email address jansivert @aol.com . . . . . . . . . . You may also leave a message in the main office at Maple Road.
